Weight for Me

From USA Today bestselling author Jahquel J., Weight for Me is perfect for fans of The Boyfriend Project and One to Watch.

Sometimes the perfect match isn’t the one you planned for …

Julissa Sanders has always carried the weight of the world—the eldest daughter, her clients’ fierce PR protector, and the woman who stood unshaken beside NFL star Devon Shon. She gave everything to rebuild him after his fall from grace, stitching back his name, his career, and his future.

But after years of sacrifice and always being put last, Devon says one thoughtless joke about her body on a podcast that leaves her shattered. For the first time in a long time, Julissa vows to put herself first.

At the gym, where she’s rebuilding not just her body but her spirit, she collides with Malachi Grand, Devon’s former agent. Tatted and thoughtful, steady and sincere, Malachi isn’t just different from Devon … he’s the kind of man who really sees her. The woman beneath the armor.

Their connection begins over workouts and smoothies and grows through late-night conversations and impromptu trips. Julissa finally finds a listening ear when she’s always been the one carrying everyone else. And with Malachi, she starts to wonder what it feels like to really be loved. To not only be chosen but accepted and cherished exactly as she’s always desired.
