Sudden Prey

A Lucas Davenport thriller by internationally bestselling novelist John Sandford.

Lucas Davenport knows why people kill. Some do it for thrills. Some do it for profit. Some do it because they must. But when his team guns down two bank robbers in the middle of a heist, Davenport falls prey to the purest, simplest criminal motivation of all: revenge. Dick LaChaise is the husband of one of the dead bank robbers and brother to the other. He wants Davenport to suffer as he has. So he's not going after Davenport himself . . . he's going after his family. ***READERS LOVE THE PREY SERIES*** "John Sandford knows all there is to know about detonating the gut-level shocks of a good thriller" —The New York Times Book Review "The best Lucas Davenport story so far.
