Resist

A step-by-step series of forty reflections on the core tenets of the Christian Faith for the Jordan Peterson generation.

From London to Los Angeles, Hong Kong to Dubai, Paris to Delhi, the world is not as it should be. Something is wrong, something has always been wrong. You know it within yourself: that gnawing, flat, ulcerous feeling that cannot be fully suppressed despite the promise of limitless pleasure and every convenience at the push of a button.

Looking around, you increasingly inhabit a world whose billboards promise paradise but the reality is a cage, where your opinions, movements and purchases are constantly monitored and recorded. This is the Program, the societal winter that everyone from the Biblical authors to CS Lewis warned us would come as consequence of a life outside the Spirit.

The clock is ticking for each of us.

This 'catechism' - think of it as an instruction manual for your soul - offers a singular alternative. A route for a generous life of inner peace and joy that is the basics of Christianity. The Gospel has a profoundly positive message concerning humanity; that we are not accidents of nature. For our culture to let our individual humanity slip away and merge with our machines and systems is to dehumanise ourselves and perhaps even to initiate unwittingly a new Dark Age.

Only the Christian Gospel will rescue humanity from the digital Brave New World. Christianity is not easy. It is a faith that demands something of you. Use this book to find out more about us. Here we embrace the Light from Above to find solace and to survive in a difficult, turbulent world.
