Narcissistic Tendencies

I love my job. Really, I do. With a doctorate in psychology, I get paid to evaluate clients for Atlanta’s premier matchmaking service.

Enter Nicholas Wells: actor, writer, producer—and walking ego. Not only is he our newest client, he’s also the new face of the company. Which means I’ve been promoted (or punished?) to his relationship manager. My new assignment? “Fix” the man.

Once upon a time, this would’ve been a dream come true. But older, wiser Kate knows better—especially after surviving one narcissist already. Can you say annulment?

The more I get to know Nick, though, the more complicated he becomes. On paper, he’s impossible. In person, he’s an adoring father with a generous heart . . . and maybe even willing to smooth out those rough edges for the right woman.

So now I’m wondering: am I fixing him, or is he fixing me? And is this reluctant matchmaker about to risk her heart again—or was my first evaluation of Nick spot on: narcissistic tendencies?
