Mother of the Groom

She’s planning the perfect wedding. She’s falling for the wrong Marchetti.

June said yes to Theo at her dying father’s bedside. She’s been saying yes ever since, even though she knows she should have said no.

Now she’s spending the summer on the Marchetti family’s vineyard, growing every flower for her own wedding by hand. There’s just one problem: the woman who towed her broken-down van up the hill. Sunburnt, rude, devastatingly competent, and far too good at making June forget she’s engaged.

The woman is Vivian Marchetti, and she’s Theo’s mother.

Vivian has spent thirty years being admirable instead of happy. She runs the estate, she runs the family, and she’s going to give her son the wedding she never had, then stand in the front row and smile. She is not going to kiss her son’s fiancée in a storm-flooded wine cave. She is definitely not going to take her apart on a potting bench in the greenhouse or drop to her knees in a linen closet while the whole family toasts downstairs.

The wedding is in September. The guests are coming. The truth is coming too.

An age-gap sapphic romance featuring big secrets, forbidden love, an ice queen, and forced proximity.
