King of Corruption

Until death do us part.

When my father sells my sister to a cruel Mafia king, I know I need to escape before it's my turn.

I'll need money, so I do the only thing I've ever been good at: counting cards.

From the start, though, I make a huge mistake. The Las Vegas casino I choose to steal from? It belongs to my sister's fiancé.

I'm hauled into his office, shoved into a chair by his goons as he stands above me, his stare cold enough to freeze my soul.

He's a man who is above the law, and he can do anything he wants.

But he does the worst thing of all… he makes me wait. Imagine. Stew. He'll decide how he wants to punish me after the wedding.

I barely pull myself together for the ceremony. I just have to stand by my sister's side.

Except, my sister is nowhere to be found. Instead, a white dress hangs on the back of the rectory door. Turns out, there's been a change of plans.

He's decided on my punishment after all.

And now…

I'm the bride.
