What it is

Hi. My name is Jack, and I’m a 400-kilogram combat android.

The Hegemony built me to hunt down rebels, crush resistance, and kill anyone stupid enough to stand in my way, so naturally, I joined the rebels.

It made sense at the time.

Have you ever heard of Sean Robins? Neither had I. Then someone informed me that apparently he’s my creator. Yes. Imagine my disappointment. I’m a two-meter-tall, 400-kilogram killing machine capable of tearing armored soldiers apart with my bare hands, and my creator turns out to be a nerdy English teacher from a country that doesn’t even exist in my universe anymore.

Canada. I looked it up. Apparently, they had hockey, maple syrup, and a one-dollar coin with a bird on it.

Anyway, once I recovered from the existential horror of discovering that Sean Robins was responsible for my existence, I discovered something even more disturbing: He's created other universes too. A lot of them.

There’s one about a starship captain who sacrifices everything to save a mysterious alien ship and discovers that, as career decisions go, this one has considerably more consequences than advertised. There’s another involving a bunch of Marines who keep saving the universe, again, again, and again. You would think after the second time somebody would put up a plaque, increase their salaries, or perhaps assign someone else to save civilization for a change. And then there’s a paramedic who somehow ends up inside an alien war machine and gets dragged into humanity’s fight for survival.

I’m beginning to suspect Sean has difficulty writing about people who make sensible career choices.

Fortunately, they all have something in common: Action. Space battles. Aliens. Warships. Impossible odds. Heroes with questionable judgment. And enough sarcasm to qualify as a secondary weapons system.

So I decided to do something useful with Sean’s excessive imagination. I put the first novel from four of his military science-fiction series (including my own story) together in one enormous collection. Four novels. Four universes. Four places where everything has gone spectacularly wrong.

And you can get the whole thing for 99 cents.

Come on.

Most of you wouldn’t even bend over to pick up a loonie.

What’s a loonie? Find a Canadian friend and ask.

You’re welcome.

And here’s the dangerous part: If you like any one of these books, there’s an entire series waiting for you.

And if you like all four?

Well…

I bet you one month of my salary that you’re going to be late for your own wedding. Admittedly, I don’t receive a salary. I’m technically military hardware. But the confidence remains valid.

So if you like fast-paced military science fiction, massive space battles, alien invasions, desperate last stands, sarcastic heroes, questionable decisions, and people saving the universe despite being spectacularly unqualified for the responsibility…
