I Absolutely Do Not Need a Plus-One

Naomi Price does not need a plus-one.

She has a successful career, a perfectly functional life, and absolutely no interest in being rescued from either one.

Unfortunately, she also has a younger sister getting married, a family deeply invested in Naomi’s romantic prospects, and one spectacular moment of panic in which she announces that she’s seeing someone.

She is not.

Even more unfortunately, Naomi gives them a name.

Jules Carter.

Jules is a charming commercial photographer Naomi knows through work. She’s spontaneous where Naomi is organized, amused by Naomi’s rules, and far too entertained when Naomi asks her to attend a destination wedding as her strictly temporary, completely fake girlfriend.

Four days. One resort. A carefully constructed backstory. A reasonable amount of hand-holding. Brief kissing only if absolutely necessary.

Naomi has considered every possible complication.

Except Jules remembering exactly how she takes her coffee.

Or her family immediately falling in love with Jules.

Or a hotel room with one bed.

Or discovering that pretending to date Jules feels suspiciously similar to actually dating her.

Because Naomi was right about one thing from the beginning: she doesn’t need someone to complete her life.

But wanting Jules in it?

That might be an entirely different problem.

I Absolutely Do Not Need a Plus-One is a funny, warm LGBTQ+ romantic comedy featuring fake dating, a destination wedding, one bed, family interference, opposites attracting, and two grown women discovering that wanting someone is very different from needing them.
