Expect A Lot, Care A Lot

From the company behind The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and The 4 Disciplines of Execution comes a groundbreaking guide that reveals how high expectations and building trust work together to drive sustained, exceptional results—without burnout.

Most leaders believe they have to choose between driving results and supporting their people. Expect a Lot, Care a Lot shows how the best leaders do both at the same time. Grounded in research across sixty countries and refined through thousands of real-world implementations, the authors introduce six critical practices that consistently move teams into the highest levels of engagement and performance. These six practices show leaders how to: • Align purpose and performance so people know what matters—and why • Communicate as a coach to unlock ownership and capability • Delegate in ways that build capacity, not dependency • Use feedback as daily fuel for growth and results • Manage energy as a renewable asset, not something to expend • Turn one-on-ones into the engine of trust, clarity, and accountability Practical, repeatable, and grounded in how work actually gets done, each practice translates directly into everyday leadership behavior. Whether you lead a small team or a global organization, Expect a Lot, Care a Lot offers a clear, proven system for driving performance while strengthening the people who make it possible.
