Deathrider

It takes a warrior to capture a dragon’s heart.

Minerva’s gift, the kiss of death, bestows Kostanya Bihari with powerful magic. As a consequence, she is also cursed with an army of ghosts forever following her.

As leader of a band of gladiators, she seeks the Visigoth king, Alaric, who is rumoured to know a bloodsinger. Anya strikes a bargain with Alaric on the island of Issa and awaits her sister’s arrival. While the warrior king admits he is gathering an army to attack Rome, he is hiding many secrets of his own. The greatest is that the fates have tied his destiny to the fierce gladiator — the Viper Queen.

Needing a ploy to gather their allies inside the city, they enter Rome as gladiatrix and lanista - gladiator owner.. To both their horror, Emperor Igniculus is especially intrigued by the one known as the Viper Queen, inviting her to stay at his palace. Now, Anya and Alaric race time and danger to coordinate the attack on the city and on the brutal tyrant, Igniculus.

Will the emperor’s cunning thwart their plan of attack and defeat them and their allies? Or will the warrior king and the gladiatrix be the foes of Caesar who finally free Rome?
