A Different Impression: A Pride and Prejudice Variation

Author's Note: This substantially revised edition was previously published under the same title. Although the novel has undergone significant revisions, the original storyline remains unchanged. What if one act of kindness changed everything for Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet?Distracted at the Meryton assembly, Darcy never utters his infamous insult—and Elizabeth has no reason to form an immediate dislike of him. What if Mr Bennet finally became aware of his youngest daughter’s behaviour and left his book room long enough to do something about it? What if Caroline Bingley’s shrewish nature were revealed much sooner? And what if a less arrogant Darcy recognised his attraction to Elizabeth much, much earlier? With less pride and prejudice standing between them, Elizabeth and Darcy are free to pursue their happily ever after together. There are still villains determined to separate them, but schemes are far more easily defeated when our dear couple face their enemies side by side. Can anyone succeed in dividing a united Elizabeth and Darcy?
